Dr Asif Qasim is a consultant cardiologist (heart specialist) in London who provides National Health and and Private Practice heart specialist services. He is also the founder director of g-cardio.net an online network that provides education and training for hundreds of cardiologists in the UK and around the world.

This website was developed in response to requests from patients and their relatives for a resource that provides easy to understand information about cardiac conditions, and how they are investigated and treated.

The basic information currently on the site and links to external websites will develop into a comprehensive patient information service over the next few months.
